Why digital detox?

My name is Yvonne Bommer. I live with my family in the canton of Thurgau. After many years of teaching and leadership in primary schools, I was drawn to adult education.

Employed as a mindfulness meditation teacher, I worked with groups in a private clinic for psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics.

I encountered the topic of mindfulness and the practice associated with it during a challenging phase in my life. Integrating it helped me to cope with a complex everyday life with family and work in a more relaxed way. I saw existing challenges from a different perspective and experienced them as an important opportunity that my life had given me.

In 2016, I completed the training as an MBSR teacher. (MBSR = Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction according to Jon Kabat-Zinn). Since then, I have been self-employed and offer mindfulness-based courses and presentations for companies and private individuals to develop more mindfulness and clarity. This was followed by further training in MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy), MSC (Minful Self-Compassion) and Focusing according to Eugen Gendlin.

It is important to me to counterbalance the performance-oriented society we live in, where everything has to be done faster and more efficiently. Not wanting to have "even more", but discovering the magic in the moment of everyday life, fulfils us sustainably. That is what I am committed to.

As an impulse generator for development, I live my enthusiasm to make a difference, to inspire people in order to unfold their development potential with them. I can draw on a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur, consultant and manager.

Over the last 10 years I have been able to supplement this wealth of experience with knowledge gained from further training in business and introvision coaching, systemic organisational development, existential analysis according to Viktor Frankl and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction according to Jon Kabat Zin.

At the same time, my everyday life in Konstanz on Lake Constance in the roles of loving mother of a teenager, daughter, sister, (godmother) aunt, mentor, dog owner, friend, ... offers me diverse fields of observation and learning.

The practice of mindfulness and meditation has changed my life existentially and is - especially in and with nature - much more than just a tool for me. It is a path to more awareness, clarity, power and contact with myself and in the encounter with others.
